Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Drawlio is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Drawlio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, the third-party services we rely on, and the choices you have when using our mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Account Required

Drawlio does not require you to create an account, register, or log in. You can use the App without providing personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth.

1.2 Anonymous Installation Identifier

The first time you launch the App, we generate a random Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) and store it locally on your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and is reset whenever you uninstall and reinstall the App. We use it only to correlate technical events and support submissions from the same installation.

1.3 Usage and Performance Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used. This may include:

  • App launches, session duration, and screen views
  • Feature interactions (e.g. which drawing mode was selected)
  • Device model, operating system version, and App version
  • Crash reports and performance metrics

Analytics events are collected only in production releases of the App. We do not use this data to identify individual users, and we do not combine it with personally identifiable information.

1.4 Camera Data

The App requires access to your device's camera to provide its core drawing features. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device in real time. Camera data is never recorded, uploaded, or transmitted to our servers or to any third party. You can revoke camera access at any time through iOS Settings.

1.5 Photo Library

When you import a photo into the App, iOS presents Apple's built-in Photo Picker, which operates in a secure system process outside of the App. The App does not receive access to your full photo library — only the single photo you explicitly select is imported. Imported photos are processed on your device and stored locally within the App; they are never transmitted to our servers.

1.6 User Content

Any artwork references you import, styled images you generate, and time-lapse recordings you save remain in the App's private sandbox on your device. This content is not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time from within the App or by uninstalling the App.

1.7 Feedback, Bug Reports, and Ratings

If you choose to submit feedback, report a bug, or leave a rating through the App, we store your submission in our secure Google Firebase Firestore database together with the anonymous installation identifier, App version, operating system version, and device model. Submitting this information is entirely optional, and we use it only to improve the App and respond to issues. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the text of your submissions.

1.8 IP Address

When you use the App, your Internet Protocol (IP) address may be collected automatically by our third-party advertising and analytics partners (see Section 3). Your IP address may be used to infer your approximate geographic location (country or region level) for the purposes of serving contextually relevant ads and complying with regional legal requirements. We do not log or store IP addresses ourselves.

1.9 Advertising Identifier (IDFA)

The App uses your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA / Apple Advertising ID) to serve personalised and non-personalised advertisements through our ad network partners. Before accessing your IDFA, the App will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, only non-personalised ads will be shown and your IDFA will not be shared with advertising partners. You can change this preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

1.10 Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a subscription or a one-time purchase, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID credentials. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform, to verify your entitlement and keep your subscription status in sync across Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. RevenueCat assigns a pseudonymous App User ID that is not linked to your name or email.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App
  • Diagnose technical issues and respond to support requests
  • Understand how users interact with features so we can enhance them
  • Verify and honor active subscriptions and one-time purchases
  • Serve advertisements through our ad network partners (Appodeal, Google AdMob), which may be personalised based on your IDFA if you have granted ATT permission
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Content you create or import (photos, styled images, drawings, recordings) is stored only on your device, inside the App's private sandbox.
  • Anonymous analytics events and feedback submissions are stored on servers operated by Google Firebase, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • No user-identifiable personal data is stored on our servers.

5. Data Retention

  • On-device content remains until you delete the item or uninstall the App.
  • Analytics events are retained by Firebase for the default retention period (14 months) and are then deleted automatically.
  • Feedback, bug reports, and ratings are retained to help us track issues and trends over time, unless you request deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of any information we hold that is linked to your anonymous installation identifier
  • Request deletion of submissions you have made
  • Opt out of analytics by disabling it system-wide in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements
  • Revoke camera access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at ebitsapps@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Drawlio is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). The App does not require account creation and does not include in-app chat or user-to-user communication. The App displays third-party advertisements served by Appodeal and Google AdMob; these partners may collect the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and IP address as described in Sections 1.8 and 1.9. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of the App and may disable ad personalisation via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

8. International Users

Anonymous technical information processed through Firebase and RevenueCat may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries where these service providers operate, including the United States. By using the App you consent to this transfer in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
